YOU ALL DID IT AGAIN! Our hearts are bursting at the seams!

Thank you for voting us #1 Pet Shop/Grooming in Jefferson City! April brought on many challenges but there were many things we got to celebrate! One being the news of the Readers’ Choice Awards! With all the chaos that's going on around the world, I was told our community really got behind this and made it the biggest turnout in votes ever, according to News Tribune. Jefferson City is an awesome place to be and it really shows that we are strong no matter what! Premium Pets also purchased our 700 East McCarty space on April 1st! It was a proud moment for me and Brad. We’re very appreciative of Hawthorn Bank for allowing us to follow through with the closing date! The former, late owners, Karolyn and Sparky Carver, meant a lot to us and they’ll always hold a special place in our hearts. We feel like their blessing is still present in this building!

On another note, several of you have been asking how we’re doing. We appreciate getting that question…it means a lot that you genuinely care about our business. Like many, we had to make some adjustments at the beginning of April; however, we’ve ramped up several other areas that have proven to be successful! Premium Pets started doing curb-side pickup and home deliveries, making it easier and safer for you! We also created an online shopping experience by getting all inventory online! We are loving this feature and hope you are too! We also got a brand new website!! If you haven’t checked it out, go to It’s got some really neat features, like shopping online, instant chat messaging, updated events/promotions in one place, and allows you to enter your location which directs you to the closest store!

I’ve also enjoyed making some really fun gift baskets which many of you liked as well! These grab bags made it easy for us to do the shopping for you and your pets got to try new items! If you’d like a Cinco de Mayo bag for $25, just call the shop and we’ll get you one reserved!

The coronavirus quarantine may have recked havoc on us all in a lot of ways, but in others ways, it gave us the opportunity to be creative, think outside the box and try things we would never have done before. It also gave us the chance to reflect and recognize how fortunate we were to keep our doors open. You all kept the love coming, despite being at home and we felt it! Again, thank you doesn’t seem like enough but we love you all and feel very blessed during this season.

Keep staying healthy and safe and we’ll keep doing what we do!
